BARCELONA have listed the three clubs who are in a position to sign Philippe Coutinho this summer.

Barcelona made Coutinho the third-most expensive player in the world when he joined them from Liverpool for £135.5m in January 2018.

It was the conclusion to a prolonged transfer saga that stretched back to the summer the year before.

For Coutinho, it was a dream come true after securing a move to the club he coveted as a child.

He harboured intentions to win the Champions League among other trophies but in a twist of fate, it was the Reds to knock his new team out on their way to European glory last season.

But it has quickly turned into a nightmare after failing to hit any form at the Nou Camp and losing the support of the fans.

And that was showcased in that dramatic Champions League tie with Liverpool in both legs when the Brazil international was booed by his own supporters after failing to make an impact.

The former Inter Milan star has been touted to leave just a year and a half after his mega-money switch.

But the funds necessary are astronomical and there are not many clubs who would be willing to fork out the money.

However, Barcelona have listed the three sides in the world who have the potential to sign the 27-year-old.

They are named as Manchester United, Manchester City and Paris St-Germain, according to Mundo Deportivo.

United have been linked with a move for Coutinho in the past but it is not believed that they would go in for him this summer.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen on young, British talents as he plots a new-look side.

Whereas across the road at City, Pep Guardiola certainly has the funds but his midfield is already stacked with talent.

However, if Leroy Sane leaves for Bayern Munich it leaves a gaping hole on the wings.

PSG have been touted as the most obvious destination - especially considering the future of Neymar.

The Brazilian has told the club he wants to move back to the Nou Camp and some sort of swap deal could be the best option for all parties.
