GARETH BALE relaxes in the Mexican sun on holiday before he is due to jet back to Madrid for frosty talks with Zinedine Zidane.

Real Madrid's out-of-favour Welshman can be seen in just a pair of blue adidas shorts standing by a pool with fiancee Emma Rhys-Jones and their two daughters in sunny Cabo San Lucas, a beautiful resort in southern Mexico.

Some rest and relaxation is exactly what Bale - who has called off his wedding amid family turmoil - needs to clear his head before returning to Real to thrash out his future.

Marca claim he will meet boss Zidane in training on Monday for the first time since the season finished in May to discuss his role in the team.

Frenchman Zidane has made it clear he wants to offload the £650,000-a-week winger this summer in order to free up his budget for more Galacticos like Paul Pogba.

Yet no offers have been made for former Tottenham star Bale, 29, and his agent has told Real he is going nowhere.

Jonathan Barnett said: "Bale has no intention of leaving Real Madrid and is ready to start pre-season next week.

Bale staying put

"He has a contract until 2022 and he is at Zidane's disposal."

Bale will be competing with exciting new signings Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic, Eder Militao and Rodrygo next season.

Zidane is not keen on the winger, who scored 14 goals last season, and has often left him out in the cold at the Bernabeu.

The pair spent months in silence after Bale's sensational overhead kick goal in Real's Champions League final win over Liverpool in 2018.

Bale said: “He didn’t talk to me about it [the goal].

"I still haven’t spoken to him since. Our relationship was good.

"I wouldn’t say we were best mates, it was just a normal professional relationship.”

Real signed Bale from Spurs for £86million in 2013.

He has won an incredible FOUR Champions Leagues, as well as La Liga, the Copa del Rey and Spanish Super Cup in his six years at the club.
