Cove reach League Two with emphatic victory over Berwick

Cove Rangers were promoted to Ladbrokes League Two after a 3-0 win at Berwick completed a 7-0 aggregate victory in their play-off final.

After taking a 4-0 lead into the game, the visitors effectively wrapped up the tie just eight minutes into the game when Jamie Masson rifled home a right-footed effort.

Any hopes of a comeback from Berwick were extinguished on the stroke of half-time when Ross Brown was shown a straight red card for a poor challenge on Mitch Megginson.

And they were made to pay two minutes after the restart when Masson’s cross was turned into the net by Jordon Brown.

The victory was wrapped up 15 minutes from time when Sam Burnett picked out Paul McManus and he fired home.
