Queen of the South took control of their Ladbrokes Championship play-off final against Raith with a 3-1 first leg win at Stark’s Park.
Queens stunned their League One hosts by taking a 2-0 lead with just 22 minutes on the clock.
Lyndon Dykes opened the scoring in the 17th minute when Iain Wilson picked him out and he turned the ball home with the outside of his right boot.
Connor Murray then doubled the advantage after Stephen Dobbie beat two defenders down the left and squared for his strike partner to tap home.
Darren Brownlie then headed home Fraser Aird’s free-kick with 15 minutes remaining before David McKay gave Raith a glimmer of hope when he fired in from the edge of the box with four minutes to go.
