Peterhead clinched the Ladbrokes League Two title as Jack Leitch scored both goals in the 2-0 win at Queen’s Park.
Leitch scored after 26 and 44 minutes to ensure Peterhead could not be caught by their nearest rivals Clyde.
Peterhead finished the season five points clear of Clyde, whose chance of the title disappeared in a 2-1 defeat at Cowdenbeath.
Cowdenbeath led through Jamie Pyper’s goal after 38 minutes before Martin McNiff equalised after 57.
Kyle Miller’s goal seven minutes later secured the win for the home side and left Clyde to battle out the play-offs with Edinburgh and Annan and Stenhousemuir.
Edinburgh drew 0-0 at Stirling and Annan were 2-0 winners at Albion thanks to Tommy Muir’s penalty after 85 minutes and a late second by the same player.
Elgin won 2-0 at home to bottom side Berwick thanks to Brian Cameron’s 69th-minute goal and a second from Kane Hester with two minutes remaining.
