Danny Hollands fired home a stunning extra-time volley as Eastleigh booked their place in the National League play-off semi-finals at the expense of Wrexham.
Hollands hit the only goal of the game in the fourth minute of the second period of additional time to set up a last-four trip to Salford on Sunday.
Wrexham had the better early chances at the Racecourse Ground with Shaun Pearson heading against the bar before Kieran Kennedy had a goal disallowed for a foul on Eastleigh goalkeeper Luke Southwood.
Southwood would later deny Wrexham substitute Jermaine McGlashan as Bryan Hughes’ hosts continued to have the better chances to settle the tie in the 90 minutes.
Hollands’ superb effort from the edge of the box set up a frantic finish in which both Pearson and Kevin Roberts had chances cleared off the line as the visitors somehow held firm.
