Arsenal stuck in 5th
Arsenal's top four hopes took a big hit this past weekend.
Unai Emery's side faced Leicester City knowing a win would take them into the top four, for a few hours at least.
However, Arsenal's horrendous away form once again reared its ugly head.
After going down to 10 men in the 36th minute, the Gunners afternoon went from bad to worse.
Youri Tielemans opened the scoring for Leicester before Jamie Vardy killed the game off with a late brace.
Xhaka thinks Champions League finish unlikely
4th and 6th place Manchester United would then go head-to-head later that day.
The game finished 1-1 putting Chelsea two points above 5th place Arsenal with two games to go.
The Blues also currently have one better goal difference than the Gunners.
As a result of the Gunners losing three games in a week, Granit Xhaka believes his side are now unlikely to make the top four this season:
"It is not the right moment to think about the top four. We had three big chances, starting against Crystal Palace, Wednesday against Wolverhampton and finished on Sunday.
"If you don't take three points in these games, we have not to speak about the top four at the moment.
"The confidence, you take only if you win, if you fight, if you have a good result.
"We are all disappointed in the dressing room and not happy, of course not, but we have to look forward and the next game is Thursday."As quoted by the Evening Standard.
Arsenal's final two league games off the season are at home to Brighton then away to Burnley.
