MANCHESTER CITY look set to lose out in the race for Tanguy Ndombele.
Lyon’s French defensive midfielder, 22, has been on Pep Guardiola’s radar as a long-term replacement for Fernandinho.
Lyon's Manchester City target Tanguy Ndombele impressed against Raheem Sterling and Co in the Champions League group stages this season
Juventus have now leapfrogged Man City in the hunt for Tanguy Ndombele
But he is now set to join Juventus for £60million.
Fernandinho turned 33 earlier this month and City could switch their sights to Atletico Madrid pair Saul Niguez and Rodri.
Manchester United’s Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is another manager tracking Ndombele, who impressed in Lyon’s Champions League clashes with City.
Tottenham are also admirers of the ex-Amiens midfielder but the bidding war means they will probably miss out.
City, meanwhile, are also thought to be duelling another European giant for a similar anchorman to Ndombele.
PSG are believed to be ready to bid for Borussia Dortmund's Germany star Julian Weigl, 23, who has five caps.
The French champions' boss Thomas Tuchel was in charge of Weigl before the manager swapped the German giants for PSG last May.
France Football suggest Weigl wants out at Dortmund after falling out of favour under Lucien Favre.
But the Bundesliga club are holding out for around £22m.
That still compares well, though, to the £68m Dortmund rated him at last summer when City and PSG first showed interest.
