Scunthorpe defender Tom Pearce could return to contention for the home game against Blackpool.
Left-back Pearce, on loan from Leeds, returned to training this week after missing last Saturday’s home defeat to Burton because of a groin injury.
Right-back Tony McMahon is expected to miss the Easter fixture programme due to a hamstring injury sustained in the recent draw at Shrewsbury.
Josh Morris (fractured fibula/ankle), Matthew Lund, Jordan Clarke, Ryan Colclough (all knee) and Rory Watson (arm) all remain sidelined.
Blackpool boss Terry McPhillips has declared he has a “big and healthy” squad to choose from.
The Seasiders came through unscathed in last week’s home defeat to Peterborough and McPhillips could name an unchanged starting line-up for the third game running.
Midfielder Jimmy Ryan, sidelined since the final game of the 2017/18 campaign due to a knee injury, has returned to full training and hopes to feature before the end of the season.
Goalkeeper Mark Howard remains a long-term absentee after rupturing his Achilles tendon in March.
