Clyde close gap at top as Peterhead are held by Albion

Peterhead’s lead at the top of Scottish League Two was cut to four points as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Albion and Clyde claimed a 2-1 victory at Edinburgh.

The leaders’ poor run of form continued at the Balmoor Stadium, with Smart Osadolor snatching a point for the relegation battlers in added time.

Jack Leitch had put Peterhead in front in the 65th minute with a low shot.

Clyde hit back from going behind to Blair Henderson’s penalty, his 29th goal of the season, at the start of the second half.

Ally Love equalised after David Goodwillie’s deflected effort came back off a post and Kristoffer Syvertsen grabbed the winner in the 86th minute.

Annan secured their play-off place in dramatic fashion after coming from two goals down late one to snatch a 2-2 against Stirling at the Galabank.

Darren Smith scored twice for Stirling, shooting into the bottom corner in the third minute and then netting from the spot for his 11th goal of the season.

Annan substitute Christian Nade pulled a goal back for the home side in the 88th minute before Ayrton Sonkur fired in the equaliser in the fourth minute of stoppage time.

At the bottom of the table, Berwick slumped to their fourth successive defeat with a 3-0 loss to Queen’s Park.

Kieran Moore put the visitors in front in the 22nd minute, heading home from a David Galt ball in.

Queen’s Park doubled their lead just before half-time as Scott McLean converted from the spot following a foul by Berwick’s Robert Wilson on Galt before Ciaran Summers added a third with his 76th-minute strike.

Elsewhere, Cowdenbeath put further distance between themselves and the relegation zone with a 2-1 win over Elgin at the Central Park Stadium.

Chris McLeish put Elgin ahead before second-half goals from David Cox and substitute Jordyn Sheerin, who scored the winner in the 86th minute with his first touch of the game.
