Macaulay Bonne’s dramatic late penalty secured 10-man Leyton Orient a come-from-behind 2-1 win against Sutton that kept their promotion hopes on track.
Orient, who started the game a point behind Salford, trailed to Jonah Ayunga’s individual opener in the 52nd minute.
They equalised in the 64th minute when Daniel Happe headed in from Josh Koroma’s free-kick.
Orient were reduced to 10 men with 16 minutes left when James Dayton was shown a red card while he was being carried off on a stretcher.
But the O’s were not to be denied and after a foul by substitute goalkeeper Ross Worner, Bonne slotted in from the spot in the 89th minute.
