Barnsley moved back into the League One automatic-promotion spots with a 4-2 win over 10-man Fleetwood.
Goals from Mike Bahre and Cauley Woodrow – his 17th of the season – put the Tykes 2-0 ahead before Ched Evans halved the deficit.
Harry Souttar was sent off for the visitors and goals from Cameron McGeehan and Jacob Brown, either side of Wes Burns’ effort, left the Reds two points clear of Sunderland and Portsmouth, who each have a game in hand.
The first goal came in the 21st minute as Brown aimed an accurate pull-back to Bahre, who fired home from seven yards out.
The Tykes doubled their advantage in the 34th minute when McGeehan’s deflected shot looped over to the feet of Woodrow, who fired into the bottom corner from close range.
Souttar headed a corner down for Evans to score in the 64th minute and give Fleetwood hope.
But little over a minute later, Souttar was ordered off for an elbow on McGeehan in an aerial challenge.
Barnsley took advantage in the 70th minute as Mamadou Thiam rounded the goalkeeper and crossed to McGeehan to nod home.
Burns headed in from a corner 13 minutes from time, setting up a nervy finish, but Brown sealed the win for the hosts just after.
