Daggers almost out of danger after draw

Dagenham closed to within a win of National League survival with a goalless draw at home to Barrow.

The visitors came close to opening the scoring in the 25th minute when Jamie Philpot smashed a shot at goal, only for Elliot Justham to tip it over.

At the other end, Kenny Clark came close to giving the Daggers a first-half lead when his looping header came back off a post.

Ian Evatt’s men were equally frustrated after the break when John Rooney sent a header against the crossbar from a right-wing cross.
