Maradona's daughter reveals her sister 'walked in on cocaine-addict dad taking drugs in bathroom' as a child

DIEGO MARADONA'S daughter walked in on her dad taking drugs in the family bathroom - another of his daughters shockingly revealed.

Maradona’s younger daughter with ex-wife Claudia Villafane, Gianinna, made the claim when speaking on TV in Argentina.

Gianinna opened up on her childhood with a self-confessed drug addict - but insisted the pair do not talk and she will never allow him back into her life.

She said: “Once my sister (Dalma) walked into the bathroom and my dad was taking drugs.

“There is something that I will never forgive my dad for but I’m going to keep it for myself because I want to preserve my son and my niece.”

She also recalled spending her 15th birthday pleading with hospital staff to let her see Diego, who was in due to his addiction.

The actress, 29, added: “They wouldn’t let me see him. Leaving him there was terrible, he stayed there and we left.”

Gianinna is the ex-wife Manchester City star Sergio Aguero and the pair had one child together, Benjamin, who is now ten.

She says Diego, 58, once woke up in hospital when he was with ex-girlfriend Veronica Ojeda - but began calling the name of his ex-wife Villafane.

She explained: “When my dad woke up in hospital he was with Veronica and he started shouting for Claudia.”

Maradona has previously admitted to being addicted to cocaine from the mid-1980s until 2004.

His addiction is understood to have stemmed from his time at Barcelona and stuck with him for the rest of his career.

He had kept up a cordial relationship with his daughters and his ex-wife until recent years before things completely broke down.

The footballing icon - now the manager at Mexican second-tier side Dorados de Sinaloa - missed his daughter Dalma’s wedding last year after she did not invite his the girlfriend Rocio Olivar, which reportedly sparked a family feud.

Gianinna spoke about the row, saying: “I dream they can leave us alone. He can be happy with the choices he has made, and he can let my mum be happy.

“Seeing your mother suffer is very sad, I have seen her suffer a lot, as I have seen him suffer too.”

Maradona is currently the coach at Mexican side Dorados de Sinaloa
