Colchester will have Frank Nouble back in contention for their Sky Bet League Two clash with Oldham at the JobServe Community Stadium.
Nouble missed the last three games through suspension after he was sent off in a 3-0 defeat to Forest Green on March 12.
Midfielder Harry Pell has been ruled out for the rest of Colchester’s League Two campaign following a recurrence of a hamstring injury sustained in February.
Rene Gilmartin and Tom Eastman could feature after both returned to the squad against Cambridge following respective knee and calf injuries.
On-loan Oladapo Afolayan could make his return to the Oldham side.
The forward is back in training and was declared fully fit by head coach Pete Wild ahead of Saturday’s game.
Manchester United loanee Zak Dearnley remains unavailable for Latics after sustaining a few knocks recently.
Wild told the club website: “It’s usually a tight affair against Colchester, but we’ll go there with a positive mindset and we’re going there to win the game.”
