Barkhuizen and Hughes among absentees for Preston ahead of clash with United

Preston have more injury problems ahead of the visit of Sheffield United after Tom Barkhuizen (knee) and Andrew Hughes (hamstring) were ruled out for the remainder of the season.
The pair join long-term absentees Billy Bodin and Josh Harrop (both knee) on the sidelines while on-loan Manchester City winger Brandon Barker may also not feature again after sustaining a hamstring injury last weekend.
Midfielders Alan Browne (ankle) and Brad Potts (knee), who both missed the defeat at Reading, could return.
Tom Clarke (knee) and Ben Pearson (hamstring) face late assessments.
Sheffield United midfielder Mark Duffy is a major doubt with an Achilles injury.
The 33-year-old sustained the injury in training last week and it forced him to miss the defeat to Bristol City.
Jack O’Connell was forced off late in that game with a calf problem but has trained this week and is expected to be fit.
Striker Gary Madine serves the final game of his three-match suspension.
