Fylde held to goalless draw at Aldershot

AFC Fylde missed the opportunity to put pressure on the Vanarama National League leaders as they were held to a 0-0 draw by struggling Aldershot.
Aldershot remain in the drop zone, nine points from safety, while Fylde remain in fifth, five points from a play-off semi-final spot.
James Hardy should have given Fylde a ninth-minute lead when Nick Haughton cut the ball back to him but he fired straight at home goalkeeper Will Mannion.
While at the other end, John Goddard came closest for Aldershot as he avoid the attention of two Coasters defenders but his shot drifted narrowly wide.
Regan Booty had the best opportunity of a keenly-contested second half but he could not get enough contact on Jake Gallagher’s ball into the box and Jay Lynch gathered.
