The 36-year-old has lost his position between the sticks to Scott Bain for the Scottish Premiership game at Parkhead on Sunday.

The seven-in-a-row champions remain on course for a hat-trick of domestic clean sweeps and can open up a 13-point lead over bitter foes Rangers with victory.

Gordon’s girlfriend Summer Harl, 29, a former Celtic television host, is a blogger based in Edinburgh, Scotland.

She posted onto her Instagram a snap of the couple embracing with the caption: “Dublin.”

And there was also a series of pics from their trip uploaded this evening.

In one snap she holds hands with Gordon, while they also had some time in the local pubs.

This comes as earlier this year Summer put up a sweet pic of Gordon as youngster with a big smile, for a school photo.

Gordon got an easy ride though in the comments to the post with several saying he hadn’t changed much.

“He still looks the same apart from the stubble…still no 1,” wrote one.

Others, who are clearly big fans of the Celtic player commented on his cheeky grin.

“Aww sweet,” wrote one while another commented: “He looks so cute”.

Celtic captain Scott Brown today heaped praise on chief executive Peter Lawwell for ensuring Brendan Rodgers' departure did not derail Celtic's campaign.

The Hoops faithful were left in a state of shock and anger when it emerged manager Rodgers had opted to defect to Leicester.

But Celtic's results have barely suffered a blip in the four weeks since after Lawwell acted immediately to bring Neil Lennon back to Parkhead.

"I think Peter dealt with that really well," said the veteran midfielder.

"He knew Brendan was leaving and there was also another man who had left Hibs just at the right time.

"It turned out to be a great opportunity and it's been great to have Neil back.

"It's been an easy transition for us.”

Rodgers’ last derby clash in charge saw Rangers claim their one and only Old Firm triumph during his glory-filled Parkhead reign.

While the Ibrox side have failed to build on that 1-0 December win, Celtic look as strong as ever after racking up 12 wins from 13 domestic clashes since.

The Old Firm derby is in Glasgow at midday on Sunday.
