Ray of light for Crewe as skipper returns

Crewe skipper George Ray will return to contention for the Sky Bet League Two clash with Cheltenham after suspension.
The defender was booked for the 10th time this season in the 0-0 draw at Cambridge on March 12 and sat out the victories over Crawley and Mansfield as a result.
Ray’s team-mates have not suffered in his absence, trouncing Crawley 6-1 and winning 2-1 at Mansfield, with Nicky Hunt deputising ably for his captain.
Callum Ainley will hope his exploits last weekend, when he came off the bench to score both goals against the Stags, have given manager David Artell something to think about as he contemplates his options, while fellow midfielder Harry Pickering is being nursed through a groin problem which has troubled him for some time.
Cheltenham boss Michael Duff will have on-loan striker Billy Waters available to him once again.
Waters was ineligible to face parent club Northampton last weekend and saw his replacement, Tyrone Barnett, score his side’s last goal in a 3-1 win.
Midfielder Ryan Broom is a doubt after limping out of that game with a hamstring problem.
Defender Jordon Forster, who came on as a late substitute, got 80 minutes under his belt for the reserves in midweek and emerged unscathed.
