Harley’s first goal since August helps MK Dons ease past Yeovil

Ryan Harley’s first goal since August helped MK Dons earn a 2-0 win over strugglers Yeovil as Paul Tisdale’s side moved back into the automatic promotion places.
Harley’s strike was his first since the opening day of the season following an injury-hit campaign, before Chuks Aneke added a second for the hosts late on to inflict a fourth-straight league defeat on the Glovers, who are just two points clear of the drop zone.
The hosts took the lead after just 13 minutes when Harley’s left-footed drive from the edge of the Yeovil penalty area flew past Glovers keeper Nathan Baxter for his second goal of the season.
Francois Zoko should have levelled things up for Yeovil four minutes before the break when he chased onto a loose ball and surged into the Dons box, before seeing his powerful left-footed strike superbly saved.
Darren Way’s strugglers were unlucky not to level things up just before the hour when Alex Dobre’s cross found frontman Zoko unmarked inside the Dons box, but his first-time effort flew wide.
Aneke added his 18th goal of the season seven minutes from time when he ran through on goal before tapping home past keeper Baxter to round off a routine victory.
