Frank Nouble back from ban for Colchester
Posted Friday, March 22, 2019 by PA
Colchester forward Frank Nouble is back in contention for the home game against Tranmere after suspension.
Nouble, who missed last week’s defeat at Exeter due to a one-game ban, is likely to start.
Midfielder Tom Lapslie could return to contention after being sidelined for five games due to a hamstring injury, but this weekend may come too soon.
Fellow midfielder Ben Stevenson is expected to recover in time from a groin strain. Harry Pell (hamstring) and Brandon Comley (knee) are still out.
Tranmere boss Micky Mellon has no new injury concerns as his play-off chasing side bid for a sixth straight win.
Zoumana Bakayogo has returned to training after missing last week’s win against Grimsby, but is unlikely to feature.
Fellow defender Adam Buxton is also back in training and could return to contention after a knock.
Striker Ishmael Miller remains Rovers’ only long-term absentee following hamstring surgery.
