Southend will make a late call on goalkeeper Mark Oxley ahead of the Sky Bet League One match against bottom club AFC Wimbledon.
Oxley has not featured since mid-December because of a back problem, but has resumed full training as he closes in on a return to action.
Defender John White could also come into contention having recovered from a groin problem.
Forward Stephen Humphrys has undergone surgery after suffering a broken nose, fractured cheekbone and eye socket when scoring at Accrington last month.
AFC Wimbledon forward Kwesi Appiah continues to be assessed ahead of a potential return from a hamstring problem which has sidelined him since early February.
Defender Rod McDonald did not feature in the midweek win over Peterborough as he recovers from a groin problem, while Deji Oshilaja (foot) also faces a late fitness test.
Striker Tommy Wood, 20, has joined non-league Burgess Hill Town on loan for the rest of this season.
The Dons boosted their survival hopes with back-to-back home wins over Doncaster and Posh in their last two outings, leaving them four points adrift of safety.
