Eastleigh moved into the play-off places thanks to a 2-0 win over Vanarama National League strugglers Maidstone.
Eastleigh claimed the lead on the stroke of half-time when Chris Zebroski fired in from close range after getting on to the end of Mark Yeates’ cross.
Maidstone came close to scoring an equaliser in the 69th minute when Elliott Romain headed the ball just wide.
Yeates added the Spitfires’ second in the 85th minute to wrap up victory when he fired into the bottom corner after an attack down the left wing by Ben Williamson.
The win lifted Eastleigh up to sixth place in the standings, while Maidstone remained second bottom and 11 points from safety.
