No fresh worries for Stuart McCall ahead of Scunthorpe’s clash with Southend

Scunthorpe boss Stuart McCall has no new injury concerns ahead of Tuesday’s League One clash with Southend.

The Iron have taken just one point from their last four games and find themselves 18th in the table – just two points above the relegation zone.

McCall saw his side lose at home to Bristol Rovers at the weekend and may opt to make changes, having taken Adam Hammill off at the break in that game.

Matthew Lund is out following knee surgery while the likes of Lee Novak and George Thomas will be hoping to earn a starting berth.

Southend have taken more points than their midweek hosts of late but Chris Powell’s side have not won a game since thrashing Bradford on January 19.

Jason Demetriou made his return off the bench in Saturday’s 2-2 draw at Blackpool and will be pushing for a first start since he suffered a knee injury in November.

Powell can also call on the likes of John White and Mark Oxley after they also returned to training.

Although they sit 14th, defeat at Glanford Park would see Southend drop below Scunthorpe in the table.
