Leyton Orient leapt to the top of the Vanarama National League with a 1-0 win over Wrexham at Brisbane Road.
Orient started the day two points adrift of the Dragons at the summit but Marvin Ekpiteta’s goal 18 minutes from time secured a vital three points.
The hosts could have been in front after just two minutes had Craig Clay found the target with a good chance.
Jordan Maguire-Drew also went close with a volley for the O’s midway through the first half, while Macauley Bonne headed wide as half-time approached.
Wrexham, who were looking to extend their unbeaten league run to seven games, had chances through Ben Tollitt and Bobby Grant.
However, the decisive moment came in the 72nd minute when the ball broke to centre-back Ekpiteta, whose 18-yard effort was deflected past Dragons keeper Rob Lainton.
Substitute Cole Stockton came close to equalising for the Dragons in added time but his shot was well saved by Dean Brill.
