McCallum at the double for Eastleigh

Paul McCallum’s brace lifted Eastleigh above Salford into the Vanarama National League play-offs with a 2-0 win at the Peninsula Stadium.
Alex Wynter went close early on before McCallum’s towering 25th-minute header, his 20th league goal of the season, put Eastleigh ahead.
Mark Yeates twice threatened from long range, while Luke Southwood saved from Salford’s Matt Green at the other end to preserve his side’s half-time lead.
Salford were denied an equaliser when Green fouled keeper Southwood and instead it was Eastleigh who doubled their advantage when McCallum scored his second. Salford could find no way back and Eastleigh could have even had a third when Yeates shot just wide.
