Flitcroft could ring the changes for Mansfield

Mansfield manager David Flitcroft has hinted at making changes to his team against promotion rivals Forest Green.

Defender Ben Turner and midfielder Alex MacDonald impressed Flitcroft with their performance and attitude while playing for the reserves this week.

With Danny Rose (broken jaw) and Craig Davies out, the Stags are short of options up front but striker Nicky Ajose could be in line for a recall.

Defender Ryan Sweeney will serve the second game of a two-match ban as third-placed Mansfield look to bounce back from successive defeats.

Dayle Grubb could be back among the Forest Green substitutes on Saturday.

The midfielder resumed training last week and he could be included in the Rovers squad after being out since the start of the year with a knee injury.

James Montgomery is also back in training following the facial injury he suffered in the reverse fixture against the Stags last month, but the goalkeeper may not be ready to feature just yet.

Victory for fifth-placed Forest Green, who share the best away record in League Two with top-of-the-table Lincoln, would see them move to within a point of Mansfield.
