Keeper Letheren denies Bradford as Plymouth make point

Plymouth goalkeeper Kyle Letheren thwarted relegation-threatened Bradford as the sides drew 0-0 at Valley Parade.
Bradford had the first chance in a tense first half when Jack Payne shot over after Lewis O’Brien took the ball off centre-half Niall Canavan.
Antoni Sarcevic fired straight at home goalkeeper Richard O’Donnell from a tight angle before Graham Carey went close to breaking the deadlock, his left-footed drive rattling the foot of a post.
Bradford looked livelier after the break and David Ball twice threatened the Plymouth goal. His half-volley from O’Donnell’s long clearance flew over and then he struck a post from the corner of the box.
Letheren pushed away a 15-yard effort from Paul Caddis as the home side continued to press. The keeper further frustrated Bradford with a fine finger-tip save to keep out Eoin Doyle’s header from a Caddis cross.
Hope Akpan skied a side-footed shot over the bar from close range and Jermaine Anderson saw a backheel blocked by Letheren as Bradford pushed for a winner, but it did not come.
