Partick Thistle moved off the foot of the Ladbrokes Championship table and up to eighth with a 2-0 win at Alloa, who replace them at the bottom.
Midfielder Blair Spittal fired Partick in front in the fourth minute after strong hold-up play from Kris Doolan.
Spittal was pulling the strings for the visitors and forced a decent stop from Alloa goalkeeper Neil Parry after 12 minutes.
Gary Harkins had a shot cleared off the line and Andrew McMillan grazed the crossbar with another effort as Partick looked to extend their advantage.
Andy Graham headed wide from a corner for Alloa, while Thistle substitute Scott McDonald cleared the bar with a shot from a tight angle after 67 minutes.
The former Australia international, who signed a short-term deal with the Jags this week, did double Partick’s lead 11 minutes from time with a low drive from Lewis Mansell’s pass.
