Oxford take point but away run continues

Oxford remain without an away league win this season after they could only come away with a point from a goalless draw against 10-man Burton.
The Brewers were reduced to 10 in the 12th minute when John Brayford pulled back Oxford’s deadline-day signing Jerome Sinclair as he threatened to race into the box from Cameron Brannagan’s chip into the channel.
Oxford went on to dominate the game, with both Sinclair and Rob Dickie blazing efforts over the crossbar after leading scorer James Henry had tested goalkeeper Brad Collins as early as the first minute.
Half-time substitute Jamie Mackie forced a good save from Collins after 52 minutes and Josh Ruffels was denied by an acrobatic save from the on-loan Chelsea goalkeeper as the visitors looked for the breakthrough.
But Oxford’s best chance fell to defender Curtis Nelson in stoppage time, the defender seeing Collins again frustrate Karl Robinson’s side with an excellent save low to his right to push away a goal-bound header.
