Gibbons banned for Tranmere clash

James Gibbons will be suspended for Port Vale’s Sky Bet League Two clash against Tranmere.
The defender was shown a straight red card in the final minutes of his side’s goalless draw at Newport.
Kyle Howkins, Callum Whelan and Toby Edser could all make their debuts after sealing loan moves to Vale on deadline day.
The hosts will be managerless after Neil Aspin resigned earlier this week.
Tranmere will also have one player missing through suspension after Ollie Banks was dismissed in the 3-0 defeat at Mansfield.
Banks was sent off following two reckless tackles in the space of five first-half minutes.
Winger Kieron Morris could be handed his debut for Rovers after signing on loan from Walsall for the remainder of the season.
Chris Dagnall may also feature for the visitors after sealing a temporary switch from Bury.
