Isco Explains To Real Madrid Substitutes About Why He Isn't Playing

Isco would be most teams in the world main man but right now the Spanish 'number 10' can't get in the starting line up for Real Madrid, fortunately he retains a sense of humour over the whole thing.
There aren't too many players in world football with the creative ability that Isco has and not many teams who wouldn't jump at the chance to sign him, if they had the money to do so.
His career at Real Madrid has been pretty stop start though. He can be considered a luxury player and those type of players are most at threat when there's a constant change of managers.
The manager's office at the Bernabeu is a revolving door but under Zinedine Zidane the Spanish midfielder found himself being an integral part of the team.
With Cristiano Ronaldo gone this season started off similarly for the former Malaga player under Julen Lopetegui but things didn't go well for the former Spain manager.
Lopetegui was sacked in October following a 5-1 loss to Barcelona and Isco hasn't started in La Liga since, under new boss Santiago Solari.
Once again on Sunday against Espanyol he was on the bench and, according to Marca, the 26 year old was caught joking to Luca Zidane, saying, "I don't play because I'm bad."

Isco had plenty of time to come up with the joke on the weekend as he couldn't even get on the pitch as a substitute in the 4-2 win over the Barcelona based side.
Instead of the 26 year old Solari, who is a former midfielder for Los Blancos, turned to Nacho, Marcelo Vieira and Gareth Bale from the subs bench.
The former Valencia youngster has started games under the latest manager at the Bernabeu but they've all been in different competitions.

It very much seems to be that the manager doesn't fancy him, but that doesn't mean his Real career is over, Florentino Perez isn't exactly known for keeping much faith with the manager.
Results have improved since Lopetegui was replaced but the new man is far from guaranteed to keep his job past this season.
If he does though they'll be plenty of people ready to end Isco's time in the Spanish capital.
