Pritchard late penalty snatches point for Blackpool

Harry Pritchard’s late penalty earned Blackpool a 2-2 draw with fellow League One play-off hopefuls Wycombe at Bloomfield Road.
Gareth Ainsworth’s Chairboys led with 12 minutes played when Joe Jacobson’s corner from the left was met by veteran striker Adebayo Akinfenwa, who powered in a header from close-range into the top corner.
Defender Ben Heneghan equalised for Terry McPhillips’ hosts five minutes after half-time, heading in Jordan Thompson’s corner past keeper Ryan Allsop from the right to bring the Blackpool level.
But two minutes later, Wycombe were back in-front in bizarre fashion as Jacobson fizzed a low corner in from the right, with the ball beating everyone in the penalty area and squirming under goalkeeper Christoffer Mafoumbi.
Blackpool secured a point after 84 minutes from the penalty spot. Nya Kirby was brought down in the area by Paris Cowan-Hall, with substitute Pritchard converting from 12-yards off the underside of the crossbar.
Both sides are now unbeaten in four games, with Blackpool eighth and Wycombe ninth in the third-tier.
