Oldham pay the penalty in Milton Keynes

MK Dons survived a scare as they held out to beat Oldham 2-1 at the Stadium MK and break their three-game losing streak.
A pair of penalties either side of half-time from Chuks Aneke and Kieran Agard were enough for all three points despite Tom Hamer’s response.
The hosts took the lead from the spot as Aneke notched his 50th career league goal in the 14th minute, making no mistake after Dons skipper Dean Lewington was felled by Christopher Missilou.
In a lively first half, Oldham had the chance to equalise when a well-worked corner routine found Urko Vera, who could only fire his shot into a crowd of bodies, before he saw a close-range effort emphatically saved by Lee Nicholls after the break.
And the Dons made them pay for their profligacy when they won a second penalty, Agard this time converting with 65 minutes played.
The Latics were back in the game two minutes later when Hamer sent a sweet left-footed strike into Nicholls’ net, but the visitors could not force a second.
