The Manchester United star was held back by stewards and team-mates late on in the FA Cup clash against Manchester United
Manchester United team-mates and Arsenal stewards restrained Lingard, who scored what proved to be the match-winning goal.
Captain Ashley Young then looked as though he was going to hand the coin to the assistant referee but then turned towards the crowd and appeared to offer to give it back as tempers continued to boil.
Lingard lost his cool when Sead Kolasinac and Marcus Rashford went head to head on the touchline after the ball had gone out for a throw-in.
The goalscorer rushed in, pushing and shoving, to back up his close pal Rashford.

He was lucky not to be shown a second yellow card for his angry reaction
Both Kolasinac and Rashford were booked by referee Craig Pawson while Lingard's angry reaction went unpunished.
He was already on a yellow card after showing dissent earlier in the second half and maybe should have been off - Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wisely took him off moments later, sending on Phil Jones for defensive reinforcement.
Arsenal are likely to be punished by the FA after yet another incident involving their fans this season.
During the Carabao Cup clash against Tottenham in December, a fan threw a water bottle at Dele Alli, striking him on the back of the head.

The Gunners even reminded fans of their responsibilities in the matchday programme but their warnings appeared to fall on deaf ears.
Alexis Sanchez came back to haunt his former employers by setting United on the way to victory, clipping in from a tight angle.
Lingard made it two when he kept his composure in the box before Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang pulled one back before the break.
But substitute Anthony Martial came off the bench to seal the win, slotting in the rebound from Paul Pogba's parried effort.
