Manchester City vs Burnley - Vincent Kompany still sidelined for City
Posted Friday, January 25, 2019 by PA
Captain Vincent Kompany remains on the injury list for Manchester City ahead of their FA Cup fourth-round clash against Burnley on Saturday.
The Belgium defender has been out in recent weeks with a muscular problem and, although it is not reported to be serious, no date has yet been set for his return.
Left-back Benjamin Mendy is being eased back into action after knee surgery and goalkeeper Claudio Bravo (Achilles) has a long-term injury but City are otherwise close to full strength.
Burnley manager Sean Dyche has problems at right-back.
Phil Bardsley and Matt Lowton are both significant doubts with knocks, meaning James Tarkowski could once again be asked to fill in.
Robbie Brady returns from suspension while Johann Berg Gudmundsson could be involved after returning to training.
