AFC Wimbledon vs Fleetwood Town - Scott Wagstaff could make Wimbledon return against Fleetwood

Posted Monday, January 21, 2019 by PA

Scott Wagstaff could return to the AFC Wimbledon starting line-up for the visit of Fleetwood.

The former Charlton midfielder was an unused substitute in the 4-1 defeat by Barnsley at the weekend after almost a month out with a calf injury.

Kwesi Appiah, Rod McDonald and James Hanson are set to miss out again.

Appiah has a hamstring injury, McDonald is carrying an ankle problem and Hanson is battling groin trouble.

Fleetwood can welcome back Ched Evans from suspension.

The striker has missed the last two matches after he was banned for using abusive language towards a referee.

However, Town will be without right-back Lewie Coyle through suspension.

Coyle starts a three-match ban after he was sent off during Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Rochdale.
