Dundee United ease into next round

Two-time winners Dundee United booked their place in the Scottish Cup fifth round following a comprehensive 4-0 win over Montrose at Links Park.
Pavol Safranko, on loan from Aalborg, nodded home from close range for his ninth goal of the season in the eighth minute.
Paul Watson had a header cleared off the line but Callum Booth doubled the visitors’ lead two minutes before the break, lashing in a stunning strike off the post from more than 25 yards.
United goalkeeper Benjamin Siegrist was called into action to keep out an effort from Montrose midfielder Paul Watson as the home side, playing at this stage of the competition for the first time since 2011, looked to get back into the tie.
But Billy King added a third nine minutes from time with his first touch, having replaced Safranko, and Ian Harkes – signed this week from DC United – marked his debut with a goal, tapping home in stoppage time.
