Lewis Vaughan’s 12-minute hat-trick gave League One Raith Rovers a 3-0 victory over Championship Dunfermline in the William Hill Scottish Cup fourth round.
Dunfermline came closest to scoring in the first half of the Fife derby at Stark’s Park, goalkeeper Robbie Thomson denying Myles Hippolyte shortly after Faissal El Bakhtaoui had shot wide.
However, it was a different game after Pars defender Lee Ashcroft was dismissed 10 minutes into the second half for a foul on Chris Duggan.
Rovers took the lead from the penalty spot with 21 minutes remaining through Vaughan, after Mark Durnan fouled Mark Duggan.
The forward doubled the advantage nine minutes later and soon after rounded off his treble to end any doubts about the outcome.
