Sheffield Wednesday striker Sam Winnall could return to the starting line-up in the home FA Cup tie against Luton.
Winnall made just his second appearance of the season as a late substitute in the home draw against Birmingham on New Year’s Day following a hamstring injury.
The Owls have appointed Steve Bruce as their new manager and although he will not officially start until February 1, assistants Steve Agnew and Stephen Clemence will be in the dug-out alongside caretaker-boss Lee Bullen.
Agnew reported no new injuries at his first press conference, while Fernando Forestieri (hamstring), Kieran Lee (knee) and Gary Hooper (groin) are all recovering from injury.
Luton forward Harry Cornick is doubtful due to an ankle injury sustained in the goalless home draw against Barnsley on New Year’s Day.
Cornick took a heavy knock shortly after stepping off the bench and will be assessed by boss Nathan Jones.
Full-back Dan Potts is working his way back from a troublesome groin issue and goalkeeper Marek Stech (stomach) is also being monitored.
Harry Isted will continue on the bench if Stech misses out again, while defender Glen Rea will be out long-term due to a serious knee injury.
