Alex Whitmore will miss Grimsby’s clash with Mansfield through suspension

Grimsby will be without Alex Whitmore when they host Mansfield.
The defender was sent off during the win at Exeter on Saturday and he is suspended against the Stags.
His absence adds to Town’s defensive problems, with Harry Davis (concussion), Danny Collins, Akin Famewo and Luke Hendrie all out injured.
The hamstring injury Ahkeem Rose suffered on Boxing Day turned out not to be too serious as he was involved from the bench at Exeter.
Mansfield manager David Flitcroft may opt to make some changes to his team.
Flitcroft fielded an unchanged starting line-up for the third game in eight days on Saturday and he could freshen things up.
The likes of Danny Rose, Otis Khan, Will Atkinson and Calum Butcher are options for Flitcroft.
The visitors go into the match looking to extend their 16-game unbeaten run in League Two which stretches back to September.
