Caretaker Coughlan targeting fourth straight win with Rovers

Caretaker Bristol Rovers manager Graham Coughlan will be hoping for a fourth successive victory as his side take on Burton at the Memorial Stadium on New Year’s Day.
Liam Sercombe could be pushing for a place in Rovers’ starting line-up after making two substitute appearances following a return from injury.
Coughlan could also stick with the same side for a third game in a row, after playing the same team against Oxford and Walsall.
Defender Tareiq Holmes-Dennis appears to have recovered from swelling on a knee after he managed 70 minutes before being substituted against Oxford.
David Templeton could feature for Burton, after he made a stoppage-time substitute appearance against Plymouth on December 29.
The Scottish winger returned to the bench on Boxing Day following a shoulder injury but was taken off after being on the field for 65 minutes.
On-loan Jake Hesketh is unlikely to recover from a hamstring injury for Burton before his loan from Southampton is set to expire in early January.
Marvin Sordell, Liam Boyce and Kyle McFadzean are all expected to remain on Nigel Clough’s long-term injury list.
