Solly suspended for Charlton’s Barnsley clash

Chris Solly is banned for Charlton after being sent off at Barnsley.

The defender was sent off for two yellow cards in the 2-1 defeat on Saturday and sits out on New Year’s Day.

Jason Pearce came off at Oakwell with an ankle injury and will be assessed by the Addicks.

Billy Clarke (thigh) is out but Naby Sarr is available after serving his three-match suspension.

Walsall have no fresh injury worries ahead of their trip to London.

Isaiah Osbourne missed the 2-2 draw with Luton with an unspecified injury and it remains to be seen if he will return at The Valley.

Joe Edwards made his first start since a serious knee injury in February and could keep his place.

Kory Roberts (broken leg) is sidelined and is unlikely to return this season.
