Lameiras earns Plymouth point at Burton

Ruben Lameiras rescued a point for bottom side Plymouth as they came from behind to grab a precious point from a 1-1 draw with Burton at the Pirelli Stadium.

Albion were out of the blocks quickly and had the lead inside four minutes.

Ben Fox and Will Miller had both been restored to the starting line-up and it was Fox who made a driving run into the box to set up Miller on the opposite side to fire home his first Burton goal for over two years.

Both Graham Carey and Antoni Sarcevic were guilty of failing to take their chances to equalise and Jamie Allen really should have made it two for Albion but swept Lucas Akins’ cross over.

Lameiras finally punished Burton after 52 minutes when Carey did well to work room for a cross and the former Coventry winger’s shot had too much power for Brad Collins in the Burton goal who could only help it over the line.

Marcus Harness should have put Albion back in front shortly afterwards but fired over after more excellent work from Fox and the sides had to share the points.
