LuaLua leaves it late to rescue point for Luton at Walsall

Kazenga LuaLua’s stoppage-time equaliser extended second-placed Luton’s unbeaten run to 12 league games as they came from two down to draw 2-2 at Walsall.
Morgan Ferrier’s penalty and Andy Cook’s tenth of the season put Walsall in command but James Collins pulled one back – also his tenth of the campaign – and LuaLua equalised at the death.
Luton twice went close early on as Elliot Lee’s 18-yard shot was tipped over by Walsall keeper Liam Roberts and Pelly-Ruddock Mpanzu struck the post from similar range.
But Walsall led in the 26th minute as George Dobson’s surge into the box drew a clumsy foul from Jack Stacey and Ferrier tucked home from the spot.
Walsall doubled their lead in the 67th minute, Cook volleying home from eight yards after Hatters keeper James Shea spilled Luke Leahy’s cross.
Luton pulled one back after 72 minutes as Collins swivelled neatly to fire between Roberts’ legs from 10 yards.
The Hatters had a Danny Hylton header disallowed for offside but LuaLua hooked home amid a goalmouth scramble in the fourth minute of injury time.
