Two goals in the first six minutes helped Sutton beat Aldershot 2-1 and stay in the mix for the National League play-off places.
Harry Beautyman opened the scoring for United in the fourth minute with a clever finish.
Two minutes later, Brett Williams doubled the home side’s advantage with a superb volley after good work by Sutton skipper Jamie Collins.
Reece Grant pulled a goal back for Aldershot midway through the first half when his shot was deflected over the head of Sutton keeper Jamie Butler.
