Keshi Anderson earns Swindon a point at Northampton

Keshi Anderson scored against his former club as his second-half strike salvaged a 1-1 draw for Swindon at Northampton.
Andy Williams volleyed the Cobblers into an early lead but the home side were made to pay for missed chances by Anderson’s fine finish just past the hour-mark, leaving both teams in mid-table.
The opening goal came after just six minutes when Kevin Van Veen was released on the right flank and his superb cross presented a simple finish for Williams from close range.
Visiting goalkeeper Lawrence Vigouroux had to be at his best to prevent Northampton from stretching their lead, reacting smartly to keep out Van Veen and Williams in quick succession.
Matt Crooks side-footed off target and David Buchanan saw an effort blocked while Michael Doughty fired against the post with Swindon’s only chance of the half.
But the visitors improved in the second period and levelled through Anderson’s crisp finish from Elijah Adebayo’s lay-off.
There was almost a late winner but Aaron Pierre cleared off the line and Jack Bridge smacked the crossbar as both teams had to be content with a point.
