Late Ash goal proves the winner for Boreham Wood

Bradley Ash netted late on as Boreham Wood beat local rivals Barnet 1-0 at Meadow Park.

In the first-ever league meeting between the two sides, midfielder Ash struck at the far post with just two minutes remaining.

Bees goalkeeper Mark Cousins ensured his side did not fall behind in the 37th minute, producing a fine diving save to keep out Gozie Ugwu’s header.

Jack Taylor tested Wood keeper Ryan Huddart while Cheye Alexander also fired over for Barnet.
