Norwich City vs Nottingham Forest - Emi Buendia and Moritz Leitner doubts for Norwich

Sky Bet Championship high-flyers Norwich will check on midfielders Emi Buendia and Moritz Leitner ahead of the Boxing Day clash with Nottingham Forest at Carrow Road.

Buendia (dead leg) and Leitner (ankle) were both forced off during Saturday’s 1-0 win at Blackburn and face late fitness tests.

Defender Timm Klose could be back in contention from a knee injury, while centre-back Grant Hanley has been stepping up his match fitness following a thigh problem.

Midfielders Louis Thompson (shoulder) and Kenny McLean (ankle), winger Matt Jarvis (ankle/knee) and striker Carlton Morris (knee) all continue their rehabilitation.

Nottingham Forest could have defender Danny Fox available again after resuming training following a long-standing foot problem.

Defender Tobias Figueiredo is doubtful after suffering a dead leg in the 1-0 defeat at QPR.

Forest boss Aitor Karanka indicated he could make changes as he looks to get the team back into the top six, with forwards Daryl Murphy and Karim Ansarifard both options having come off the bench at Loftus Road.

Defender Michael Dawson (hamstring) continues his recovery along with forward Hilal Soudani and right-back Sam Byram, who are expected to make their comeback from knee injuries in the new year.
