Fleetwood are set to be without striker Ched Evans for their League One meeting with Doncaster on Boxing Day.
Evans was sent off after 55 minutes of Saturday’s 2-1 defeat at Bristol Rovers and faces three matches on the sidelines – but Fleetwood confirmed that they have lodged an appeal against the decision.
Manager Joey Barton was also sent to the stands after Rovers’ last-gasp winner but he can once again call on the services of defender Craig Morgan, who returned from injury off the bench.
James Husband (hamstring) is expected to remain on the sidelines as Fleetwood look to complete the double over Doncaster after winning 4-0 in the reverse fixture back in October.
Doncaster also conceded late on Saturday as Oxford scored an equaliser seven minutes into stoppage time.
Grant McCann’s side are unbeaten in the league since November 3 and sit outside the play-off places on goal difference.
Defensive duo Joe Wright and Niall Mason are again absent for the trip to Highbury Stadium.
Wright has been sidelined for the last six weeks with an ankle injury, while Mason’s broken toe rules him out.
